[A] A classified ad is sold by the word and is set up in one type
size. A display ad is sold by the column inch, typically has a
border, the type size and type style may vary, and the ad may have
artwork and/or photos in it.

[A] All of our classified ads are automatically placed on the
Internet at no additional charge. Check them out at
www.classifieds-now.com.
Click on Weekly Publications, then on Dyersville, and then on
Classifieds-now.

[Q] May I also place my ad in one of your other publications?
[A] When you place an ad in our paper, you may also place it in one
or all of our other Shopping News/Woodward Communication
Publications. We can save you time and money by handling your
advertising needs through the Eastern Iowa Shopping News/Dyersville
Commercial.

[Q] How can I start receiving the Shopping News or the Dyersville Commercial?
[A] Call our office at 563-875-7131 to let us know you would like
either one of our publications. If you are in our distribution area
of the Shopping News, it will be delivered to you, free of charge by
the United States Postal Service. If you are outside of our
distribution area, you can subscribe to the Shopping News for $40.00
per six months.
In order to receive the Dyersville Commercial you need to subscribe
to it. The cost is $33 per year within Dubuque, Delaware, Clayton,
Jones and Jackson counties, in state of Iowa the cost is $48 per
year, and out of state is $55 per year.

[A] You may place your ad in many other publications through our
office. We can place your ad in several Shopping News Publications
or newspapers throughout the state of Iowa and surrounding states
via our state association or throughout a nationwide association of
shoppers and newspapers.

[Q] May I have a flyer inserted in the Shopping News or Dyersville Commercial?
[A] Yes, you may. We can design and print your flyer for you or you
can bring in one of your own. We can then work with you to deliver
the inserts to part of all of our distribution area.

[A] Besides advertising, we sell wedding invitations and
accessories, rubber stamps, or any type of print job you need. We
can also get things laminated for you. We can design programs or
brochures and get them printed for you.

[A] The Eastern Iowa Shopping News is received by over 19,400 homes
and businesses each week in Buchanan, Clayton, Delaware, Dubuque and
Jones counties. The Dyersville Commercial has a paid circulation of
4000 homes.

[A] The Eastern Iowa Shopping News has a publication date of
Tuesday and our readers receive it on Tuesday. The
Dyersville Commercial has a publication date of Wednesday and our
readers receive it either Wednesday or Thursday.

[A] You can add one color (in addition to black) for $80.00. Process
color costs $150.00. Color
significantly increases the readership on your ad.

[Q] Can I see a proof of my ad before it runs?
[A] When you submit your copy prior to Friday 10 a.m. for the
Shopping News and Monday at 3:00 p.m. for the Dyersville Commercial
a proof can be provided prior to publication.

[A] The Shopping News and Commercial offer advertising agreements
whereby your column inch rate can be reduced. You simply sign an
agreement based on your planned advertising investment for the
upcoming year.
